Abstract:Recently, enzymatic treatment using peroxidases in removal of aromatic compounds has gained importance. In this study pointed gourd peroxidase was salt fractionated and direct immobilization of these proteins on diethylaminoethyl cellulose for oxidation of phenol and α-naphthol has been investigated.
