Application of Cuk Converter in Solar Based Electric Vehicle Charger Under Variable Irradiance

Abstract

As the electric vehicles (EVs) use are increasing, the demand of energy to charge the vehicle also increases. In the generation of energy, fuel utilizes and in the power generation by-product should also produce whose emission hazards the environment. So, to attenuate the environmental degradation we use renewable energy resources which makes the production of energy clean, sustainable and unpolluted. So, in this paper we built a charging station for EVs which uses renewable energy source to charge the electric vehicle with the help of CUK converter and it also have Buffer batteries to supply the power to EVs when the grid is not able to generate electricity.
