Application of a low temperature equation of state for monovalent metals

Abstract: In a recent p a p e~ /1/ a low temperature equation of state for monovalent metals was given. It was found that the derived expression for the thermal expansivity satisfactorily explains the measurement8 for copper in the temperature range 1 to 12 K. Furthermore, it was verified that the values employed for the various parameters in this comparison were also appropriate for the representation of the specific heat data of copper according to the theoretical expression.
