Application Method of a Simplified Heat and Moisture Transfer Model of Building Construction in Residential Buildings

Abstract: Several building energy simulation programs have been developed to evaluate the indoor conditions and energy performance of buildings. As a fundamental component of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning loads, each building energy modeling tool calculates the heat and moisture exchange among the outdoor environment, building envelope, and indoor environments. This paper presents a simplified heat and moisture transfer model of the building envelope, and case studies for building performance obtained by di… Show more

“…Airflows between internal zones and between indoor and outdoor spaces can cause problems in relation to indoor environmental quality (IEQ) and building energy consumption, such as air pollutant transfer [1][2][3], excessive energy consumption due to air infiltration [4][5][6][7], as well as occupants' discomfort [8,9]. The key to mitigating these problems is to investigate in real time the variations in indoor environmental parameters such as the concentration of air pollutants, temperature, humidity, and the absolute pressure.…”

“…In the imaging process of super-resolution images, degradation processes such as optical and motion blur, down sampling and noise are often generated due to the physical conditions of the imaging system or many external factors, which make the resolution of the image not reach the people's requirements [12][13][14][15][16]. Therefore, the effective enhancement of small features of super-resolution images has become a problem to be solved in this field [17][18].…”

“…It is also crucial for energy efficiency and for creating a comfortable indoor environment. Joowook et al [ 16 ] proposed a simplified heat and moisture transfer model for building envelopes. Ivanov et al [ 17 ] revealed a numerical study of the risk of condensation over the exterior wall of a typical residential room, and the resulting surface and dew point temperature distribution are derived over the simulated exterior wall.…”
