Application Height in Herbicides Efficiency in Bean Crops

Abstract: -Inadequate herbicide application can result in failures in weed control and/or poisoning of the crops, resulting in yield losses. In this research were assessed the effects of the sprayer nozzle boom height in the distribution of the spray solution for weed control, influencing intoxication of beans and crop yield. Experiments were conducted in laboratory and field conditions. In laboratory, the performance of flat spray tip TT 11002 was assessed at heights 0.20, 0.30, 0.40 and 0.50 meters with respect to the… Show more

“…These results are in line with Hadi et al (2006) who observed an increased number of pods plant -1 where weed population was reduced by management techniques. Similarly, Pereira et al (2015) and El-Metwally et al (2008) sated that the number of pods produced per plant or maintained to final harvest depends on a number of environmental and management practices.…”

“…El fluazifop-P-butil, tiene como objetivo principal el control de monocotiledóneas (Cesarin et al, 2013;Rezende et al, 2012). El herbicida fluazifop-P-butil actúa inhibiendo la enzima acetil-CoA carboxilasa (ACC), bloqueando la síntesis de lípidos en las plantas susceptibles (Pereira et al, 2015;Silva et al, 2014), de esta forma su acción en el aparato fotosintético es indirecto.…”

“…Bean plants are cultivated in several types of production systems and periods of the year. They suffer interference from a wide variety of weeds (Pereira et al, 2015, Teixeira et al, 2009. This interference represents the sum of negative interactions among plants, including competition and allelopathy (Agostinetto et al, 2008;Sausen et al, 2009).…”
