Applicable Conditions of Room-and-Pillar Mining Goaf Treatment Methods under a Traffic Load

Abstract: The disturbance depth of traffic load has a direct impact on the stability of a room-and-pillar mining goaf. To quantitatively calculate the relationship between the traffic load disturbance depth and influencing factors, 49 groups of horizontal combinations of different influencing parameters are designed in this study, based on the orthogonal experimental design method. Midas GTS is used to simulate and obtain the corresponding traffic load disturbance depth data. A multivariate linear regression analysis of… Show more

“…In terms of quarry area management, dealt with goaf-related hazards in advance at specific working faces by enhancing continuous monitoring of water levels and volumes. The most widely available approach for ground pressure management is to use the waste rock, tailings sand, concrete and other materials to fill the goafs (Deng et al, 2009;Feng and Huang, 2020;Yu et al, 2022;Zu et al, 2023).…”

“…The conducted studies have unveiled the intricate stresses generated by dynamic loads in road structures [46]. Hence, there is a critical need to analyze, calculate, and precisely select stress values within the structure, particularly in the context of a road embankment [47]. To address these considerations, the decision was made to employ static loads, aligning with the specifications outlined in standard documents.…”
