“…With our national representative sample, boys have a much higher prevalence of DCD compared to girls (10.0% vs 4.6%); and as a risk factor, male sex remained significant in all models. The result is consistent with the previous studies on western populations (Junaid & Fellowes, 2006;Kourtessis, Psalti, & Kioumourtzoglou, 2008;Ruiz, Graupera, Gutiérrez, & Miyahara, 2003;Larsen, Mortensen, Martinussen, & Andersen, 2013) as well as East Asian populations (Chow, Hsu, Henderson, Barnett, & Lo, 2006;Kita, et al, 2016;Hirata, et al, 2018;Hua, et al, 2014a;Hua, et al, 2014b).
