Appendiceal Foreign Bodies in Adults: A Systematic Review of Case Reports

Abstract: Adults can accidentally swallow foreign bodies (FBs) with food. In rare occasions, these can lodge in the appendix lumen causing inflammation. This is known as foreign body appendicitis.
