Aplastic Anaemia Complicating Infectious Mononucleosis

Abstract: A case‐report of a patient with infectious mononucleosis is presented who developed aplastic anaemia and acute appendicitis during the course of the illness. The appendicitis progressed to the formation of an abscess which was evacuated at operation. Complete remission of the aplastic anaemia followed treatment with prednisolone.
