Abstract: In this study; a practice has been conducted to examine the performance of orbital flux cored arc welding (FCAW) method, which is a new method. 3Cr12 ferritik paslanmaz çelikler, yapı çelikleri ile östenitik paslanmaz çelikler arasında bir korozyon direnci performansı sergilemekte olup, yapı çeliklerine yakın mekanik özellikleri ile bilinmektedir. Bu çalışmada farklı ilave teller ile birleştirilen 3Cr12 ferritik paslanmaz çelik malzemelerin kaynaklı birleştirme performansı araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada ilave tel olarak ER308LSi, ER309LSi ve ER316LSi kaynak telleri kullanılarak gaz metal ark kaynağı yöntemi ile birleştirilmiştir. Birleştirme işlemi sonrasında gerçekleştirilen görsel muayenede herhangi bir hata görülmemiştir. Birleştirmelerden alınan numunelerin yapısal karakterizasyonunu belirlemek için, numunelere makroyapı ve mikroyapı incelemeleri; mekanik karakterizasyonunu belirlemek için ise; çekme, sertlik ve eğme testleri uygulanmıştır. Makro incelemelerde; kaynak metali (KM) ve ısıdan etkilenen bölge (IEB) açıkça ayırt edilebilmektedir. Kaynak kalitesini ve mekanik özellikleri olumsuz etkileyebilecek boşluk, çatlak ve nüfuziyet eksikliği gibi hatalar görülmemiştir. Mikro incelemelerde ise KM ile ana metal arasındaki yapısal değişimler ile ergime - katılaşma çizgisi açıkça tespit edilmiştir. Çekme testlerinde, ER308LSi tel ile yapılan birleştirmenin % uzama, akma ve çekme mukavemeti değerlerinin diğer tellerle yapılan birleştirmelerden çok az seviyede daha iyi sonuçlar sergilemiştir. Sertlik testlerinde, ortalama sertlik değerleri yaklaşık olarak ana metalde 150 HV, IEB’de 300 HV, KM’de ise 190 HV ölçülmüştür. Eğme testlerinde ise kaynaklı birleştirmelerin, yaklaşık olarak malzeme kadar süneklik sergilediği tespit edilmiştir.

In this study, galvanized coated 2 mm thick SCGA440 (Double Phase) steel sheets used in the automotive industry were combined. The joining process was carried out using the CMT (cold metal transfer) method. In this application, 3 different welding speeds of 60 cm/min, 70 cm/min, 80 cm/min were selected with 1 mm diameter SG2 filler wire. Overlap connections were made by using mixed gas HB205 (93% Argon, 5% CO2, 2% O2) and 100% CO2 gas as shielding gas. After joining processes with CMT method, the amount of spatter in the connection areas, the amount of Zn evaporated from the base metal surface, tensile strength (MPa), hardness values (HV), bending tests, macro and micro images were taken and analyzes were made.

In this study, 2 mm thick SCGA440 (Double Phase) steel plates, which are used in the production of crash boxes that serve as crash absorbers in automotive, and whose surfaces are galvanized, are combined. These joints were made using the cold metal transfer (CMT) method. The applied welding position is determined as face-to-face. This application was carried out in a robotic system using 1 mm diameter copper-based CuSi3, CuAl8 and massive SG2 filler wires, keeping the welding speed constant at 60 cm/min. After joining processes with the cold metal transfer (CMT) method, the tensile strength (MPa), hardness values (HV), bending tests, evaporating Zn distances on the base metal surface, macro and micro tests were performed in the joint areas.
