Aortic Seat Belt Syndrome, A Rare Abdominal Aortic Injury Managed with Endovascular Treatment: A Case Report and Literature Review

Abstract: Despite its low incidence, the mortality related to it remains high. Seat belt syndrome describes a spectrum of injuries related to the seat-belt use in occupants involved in motor vehicle collusions. These include blunt abdominal aortic injury, intra-abdominal and possibly spinal injuries.
