Antonym Sequence in Qur’anic Arabic: An Emically Etiological Approach

Abstract: This article etiologically examines which principles pattern and govern antonym sequences in the Qur’anic discourse and why antonymous pair members are prone to a particularly regular order in the Qur’an.
