Abstract:BackgroundPatients with peripheral arterial disease (PAD) are at increased risk for major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) such as cardiovascular death, myocardial infarction, and stroke as well as major adverse limb events (MALE) such as amputation and acute limb ischemia.
