Antireflecting coatings for glass based on monolayers of amorphous silica nanoparticles

Abstract: The results of investigations into monolayered antireflective coatings based on silicon dioxide (sil ica) nanoparticles obtained according to the sol gel technology using a simple and efficient technique of dip ping into a sol of soda lime glass are presented. The influence of silica sol synthesis parameters and the size of the deposited nanoparticles on the structure and properties of the obtained coatings are revealed.

“…The production of nanosystems based on high-purity silicon oxide, as well as precipitation of silicon oxide on various substrates, has a number of practical applications. These applications range from creating mesoporous adsorbents and nanofilters to obtaining antireflective coatings on optical glass [1][2][3][4]. In addition to the abovementioned applications of such systems, it is of great interest to study the properties of the composite polymeric materials filled with them.…”
