Abstract:Glyphosate is a widely used herbicide and the active ingredient in Monsanto's Roundup, among other herbicide formulations. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and vitamin E (tocopherol) are both antioxidants that play important roles in reducing oxidative DNA damage and protecting cells from the harmful effects of free radicals. The study aimed to analyse the effect of antioxidant vitamins (vitamins C and E) on the expression of IGF-1 and KIM-1 molecules in the kidneys of glyphosate-exposed rats.
