India is the largest producer of medicinal plants and is rightly referred to as "the World's Botanical Garden." Medicinal plants play a key role in the health and vitality of humans and animals alike. Researchers have been attempting to recognize and validate plant-derived substances for the treatment of various diseases that promote compounds for health and nutrition for the past few years. Bael is a common plant that originated in India (Aegle marmelos). According to a study of the literature, entire parts of the plant, such as roots, barks, leaves, fruits, seeds, and flowers, are used to treat various diseases. Bangladesh, Indonesia, China, and other Asian countries, for example, it is a spiritual, religious, and medicinal plant that can be found all over the world. It has a number of therapeutic applications. Nowadays, various products from various parts of the plant are prepared. The biological profile, botanical description, physicochemical parameters, conventional uses, therapeutic applications and creative aspects are included in this study. The purpose of the present analysis is to compile the general chemical profile, both medicinal and economic value, value-added items such as juice, jam and toffee, and other uses of Aegle marmelos. Anti-Inflammatory and anti-arthritic activity of ethanolic extract of stem bark of saraca asoca

The intension of the present study was to evaluate the ethanolic extract of stem bark of saraco asoca was assessed for its anti-inflammatory and antiarthritic activity by in vitro methods. The phytochemical analysis revealed the presence of carbohydrates, amino acid, alkaloids, saponins, tannins, flavonoids, terpenoids, glycosides, xanthoproteins, and phenols. Results showed that the extract exhibited strong inhibitory activity. The total flavonoid and tannins content was found to be 0.015 and 0.03 mg in the stem bark of saraco asoca. In vitro anti-inflammatory activity was evaluated using albumin denaturation assay, lipooxygenase inhibition, and membrane stabilization assay and proteinase inhibitory activity at different concentrations. Aspirin was used as a standard drug for the study of anti-inflammatory activity. Linear regression analysis was used to calculate IC50 value. Maximum inhibition of heat-induced protein denaturation of 72% was observed at 100 μg/ml, IC50 34.8+1.34 μg/ml). Hypo tonicity activity was also significantly inhibited (IC50 = 41.6+1.70 μg/ml). antilipooxygenase activity attributed minor protection by the bark extract with an (IC50 of 37.6+0.76 μg/ml). Antiarthritic activity performed by protein denaturation and HRBC membrane assay Antimicrobial analysis of the extracts was studied against common pathogens. The zone of inhibition was performed to determine the antimicrobial activity at different concentrations of plant extracts (60%,70%, 80%). It was observed that E. coli was inhibited at all concentrations, followed by Enterococcus and Pseudomonas.

Skin is the maximally exposed part of the body, that is susceptible to UV radiation, pollution, etc. A body lotion can aid in protection of skin from these detriments with no side effects. Also, there is a growing arena towards natural and herbal cosmetic products for skincare. Keeping all these in mind, this herbal body lotion was prepared from the extract of Aegle marmelos leaves along with other ingredients to form various formulations. Various studies demonstrated medicinal and immunomodulator activities of Aegle marmelos leading to treatment and preventive strategies incombating vivid conditions. Several antioxidant components such as β-carotene, glutathione, α-tocopherol, ascorbic acid, and total polyphenols and flavonoids are rich in Aegle leaves. The objective of our study was to find out the antioxidant potential of Aegle marmelos and thereby using the extract for formulating body lotion for skincare. These formulations were further evaluated for various parameters such as antioxidant assays (DPPH, FRAP, TPC), pH, lotion type, emulsion type, stability, microbial growth, organoleptic properties, spread ability, etc. Body lotion containing methanolic extract of Aegle marmelos showed 50% radical scavenging activity at 172.51 ± 5.60 mg/mL, TPC value of 28.06 ± 0.40 mg/g and FRAP value of 4.08 mM/g. According to the feedback obtained from the volunteers, the colour of lotion was found to be very good, odour and homogeneity of the body lotion was found to be excellent. The spreadability and emolliency was also found to be excellent. The lotion was found to be non-greasy and maximum volunteers did not experience any sort of irritancy. Further studies are needed to test the efficacy of this lotion in various forms like nanoparticles, etc.
