Antinociceptive and Antiallodynic Activity of Some 3-(3-Methylthiophen-2-yl)pyrrolidine-2,5-dione Derivatives in Mouse Models of Tonic and Neuropathic Pain

Abstract: Antiseizure drugs (ASDs) are commonly used to treat a wide range of nonepileptic conditions, including pain. In this context, the analgesic effect of four pyrrolidine-2,5-dione derivatives (compounds 3, 4, 6, and 9), with previously confirmed anticonvulsant and preliminary antinociceptive activity, was assessed in established pain models.
