Antimicrobial Effects of Medicinal Plants on Pathogenic Food Bacteria

Abstract: Food Pathogens were isolated from different street food samples and molecular identification of the isolates revealed the presence of Escherichia species, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumonia and staphylococcus aureus. All the bacterial strains were tested against crude extracts of Justicia adhatoda and plectranthus amboinicus for their antimicrobial properties.
