Antimicrobial activity of secondary metabolite compounds from lichen Teloschistes flavicans

Abstract: Exploration of lichen natural compounds has attracted a lot of attention from researchers as potential medicinal raw materials because chemical compounds contained in lichen have many properties. The potential for developing secondary metabolite compounds of lichen has become a trend for various benefits, for example, in cosmetics, agriculture, health, and food. Lichen Teloschistes flavicans was a concern to study because there were not many reports of secondary metabolites that have antimicrobial activity. Th… Show more

“…Laboratory in vitro studies on the potential of lichen secondary metabolites report their broad biological properties such as anticancer (Cardile et al 2017 ; Tripathi et al 2022 and literature cited therein), antioxidant (Hawrył et al 2020 ; Maulidiyah et al 2021 ), antimicrobial (Shiromi et al 2021 ; Sargsyan et al 2021 ), pro-health (Zhao et al 2021 and literature cited therein) or anti-fusarial potentials described in this meta-analysis.…”
