Abstract:An increasing body of evidence shows that new antidiabetic drugs—particularly sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors and glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists—have a beneficial effect on cardiovascular outcome.
