Abstract: Recent outbreaks of food borne illnesses continue to support the need for rapid and sensitive methods for detection of foodborne pathogens. A method for detecting Listeria monocytogenes in food samples was developed using an automated fiber-optic-based immunosensor, RAPTOR ™.
