Antibiotic resistant and extended-spectrum β-lactamase producing faecal coliforms in wastewater treatment plant effluent

Abstract: 26Wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) provide optimal conditions for the maintenance and 27 spread of antibiotic resistant bacteria (ARB) and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs).
