Antibiotic prophylaxis at triage for simple traumatic wounds

Abstract: Antibiotic administration at the time of wound manipulation has not been shown to decrease infection rates for simple traumatic wounds. Antibiotic administration at the time of initial emergency department (ED) presentation, however, has not been explored.
