Abstract:Lantana camara belongs to the family Verbenaceae. This family consists of more than 100 genera and contains nearly 2600 species. Many of these species are of tropical or subtropical region. L. camara is cultivated as decorative plant or for making a boundary in a garden or field. Whole Lantana camara extracts are used to treat asthma, measles, and various types of cancer.
