Abstract:Sporadic inclusion body myositis (sIBM) is a chronic and progressive inflammatory myopathy that is commonest in the population aged >50 years. Asymmetric muscle weakness and wasting of the quadriceps, and finger and wrist flexor muscles are characteristic of sIBM.
