Anti-Müllerian Hormone Type II Receptor Expression in Endometrial Cancer Tissue

Abstract: Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) is responsible for the Müllerian ducts’ regression in male fetuses. In cells of cancers with AMH receptors (AMHRII), AMH induces cell cycle arrest or apoptosis. As AMH occurs naturally and does not exhibit significant side effects while reducing neoplastic cell colonies, it can be considered as a potential therapeutic agent for cancer treatment. The purpose of this study was to assess the AMHRII expression in endometrial cancer (EC) in correlation to various demographic data and cl… Show more

“…We further investigated the expression of AMH. In human medicine, AMH is commonly expressed in ovarian granulosa cells and endometrial cancer [6,7]. Immunolabelling of glandular and luminal epithelia is reported in a healthy human endometrium, with additional stromal positivity depending on the uterine functional phase [7,8].…”

“…This syndrome is characterized by Müllerian derivatives in the normally masculinized XY genotype. Canine PMDS and the associated clinical signs have been largely reported in miniature schnauzer [6,7]. A single homozygous cytosine substitution to thymidine in exon 3 at nucleotides 241 of the MISRII gene was identified as the causative genetic defect in this breed [8].…”

“…Результаты данного исследования могут свидетельствовать о защитных свой ствах АМГ в отношении многих видов рака, в связи с чем его следует рассмотреть как потенциальный маркер прогноза и препарат для таргетной терапии [19]. Более позднее исследование продемонстрировало аналогичные результаты [20]. В работе S.M.…”

“…Tamoxifen also has an impact on a higher incidence of benign pathologies of the endometrium, such as endometrial polyps [5]. Considering that uterine cancer is the most common neoplasm of the reproductive tract and the third most common neoplastic disease in women after breast cancer and bronchial cancer, in some developed countries, the rationale behind the uterine cancer screening protocol in women on SERM therapy is being widely discussed [6][7][8][9][10].…”
