“…The impact of bronchodilators on pulmonary MMP activity related to the pulmonary inflammation and emphysema is poorly documented. Recently, formoterol or ipratropium administrated alone has been found to inhibit the activity of gelatinase A (MMP-2) and gelatinase B (MMP-9) in rats exposed to a single dose of cadmium (Zhang et al, 2010).
