A total 290 Black Bengal goats (6 buck, 109 doe and 175 kids born from 11 sires) were studied to evaluate the variability of resistance in Black Bengal goats naturally infected with Haemonchus contortus. The variability of resistance in Black Bengal goat was studied for both genetic and non-genetic factors like village, sex, age dam, sire, dam resistance group and offspring resistance group. Male kids have slightly higher resistance than female kids although it was not significant. Resistance of kids was increased as age increases and kid population showed significantly different resistance status among the offspring resistant groups. The doe population showed significantly different LEPG as per the resistance group in all the collections. The present study found that the resistance of kids under sire were varied significantly and observed that the kids under sire 1, 6-8 were significantly more resistant than the kids of the sire 2, 5 and 11 in 3rd collection and it is also noticed that maternal genetic effect has a very little impact on resistance of kids. Males (buck) were most resistant and the kids were least resistant and the resistance of dam was in between the male and kids population.

The intensive and sometimes uncontrolled use of anthelmintic agents to control the nematodoses of the digestive tract of animals has led to the emergence of resistant helminth strains, which has become an important problem for scientists in many European countries, including Ukraine. Thus, the drugs most commonly used to treat animals are not effective enough against the agents of sheep helminthiasis. In this case, the question of the actual effectiveness of anthelmintics in relation to specific pathogens remains important for both scientists and veterinary practitioners. The aim of the study was to study the therapeutic efficacy of anthelmintics, registered on the territory of Ukraine which belong to different chemical groups for skrjabinemosis sheep. Experimental testing of modern anthelmintic preparations was carried out: Brovalsen powder, Albendazole-250 tablets and Albendazole suspension 10 % (benzimidazole group); Brovalevamisole powder 8 % and Levavet injection solution 10 % (imidotiazole group); Univerm powder and Ivermekvet injection solution 1 % (macrolide group); Kombitrem emulsion and Kloziveron injection solution (combination group). Studies have shown that all the tools used in the experiments have an anti-helminthic effect against the pathogen of sheep skrjabinemosis . The most effective were the chemicals from the group of combination preparations (Kombitrem and Kloziveron)in which EE and IE reached 100 %. The effectiveness of drugs from the group of macrocyclic lactones depended on the method of their setting. The use of Ivermekvet injection solution 1 % and the individual feeding of the Univerm powder resulted in 100 % efficiency of the agents. The group feeding of the Univerm powder proved to be less effective . A similar effect has been reported for the use of preparations of the imidotiazole group. Injection of Ivermekvet 1 % and individual feeding of Brovalevamisole 8 % showed 100 % effectiveness. Group administration of Brovalevamisole 8 % led to a decrease in performance . It was determined that the use of various methods of benzimidazole group (individual or group) did not destroy 100 % of the pathogens of sheep skrjabinemosis in the body of sheep. The EE and IE ratios of Brovalsen powder, Albendazole-250 tablets and Albendazole suspension 10 % ranged from 70-90 % and 77.49-95.70 %, respectively.

Currently, the use of anthelmintic agents is considered to be one of the fastest and most practical ways to combat strongylates sheep's digestive tract. Despite the wide assortment of anthelmintic preparations both in the world market and in Ukraine, veterinary specialists are increasingly noticing the low level of efficacy of medicines. Scientists have found that the emergence of resistance in nematodes to the action of anthelmintic agents is due to their excessive and uncontrolled use. In view of the above, regular monitoring of the state of anthelmintic resistance, as part of the program for the control of strongylatoses sheep digestive canal, is a priority area of research. Therefore, the purpose of the study was to evaluate the anthelmintic efficacy of drugs of different chemical groups (benzimidazoles, imidotiazole, macrolides, and combination drugs) for strongylatoses sheep digestive canal with regard to their method of administration. Medicines (Brovalsen, Albendazole-250, Albendazole 10%; Brovalevamisole 8%, Levavet 10%; Univerm, Ivermekvet 1%; Kloziveron, Kombitrem) have been shown to have anthelmintic action (EE – 50–100%, IE – 76.20–100%) against the pathogens of gastrointestinal strongylates. It was noted that their effectiveness depended on the method of administration and the chemical group to which they belonged. The most effective (EE and IE reached 100%) were injectable drugs Ivermekvet 1%, Kloziveron and Levavet 10 %, administered by single subcutaneous injection. Less effective was the use of a suspension of Albendazole 10% and Kombitrem emulsion for individual feeding, as well as powders of Brovalevamisole 8% and the Univerm for both individual and group feeding. The indicators of their EE and IE varied between 60–90% and 88.45–92.63% respectively. The Brovalsen drug, which was administered to animals by group feeding, was ineffective, with EE and IE being 50 and 76.20%, respectively. The results of the obtained data will allow to increase the efficiency of conducting therapeutic and preventive measures for strongylatoses digestive canal in sheep farms of different forms of ownership.
