Acellular porcine dermal collagen (Permacol™) is often used to repair the abdominal wall in trauma patients. However, there are no previous reports of the use of two Permacol™ in one incision site. Here, the author reports a case that used two continuous 10×15-cm-sized Permacol™ longitudinally connected by a suture for early abdominal closure in a patient with large retroperitoneal hematoma and bowel edema.
