Anterior Pericardiectomy for Postinfective Constrictive Pericarditis: Intermediate-Term Outcomes

Abstract: Anterior pericardiectomy is sufficient in patients with constrictive pericarditis of infective etiology. Preoperative low ejection fraction, atrial fibrillation, poor functional class, and constrictive effusive pericarditis results in poor surgical outcome.
