“…These findings were inconsistent with anterior lumbar interbody fusion. 32 The anterior approach might be more beneficial for increases in lordosis but further research should be conducted to confirm whether increasing lordosis is essential for clinical improvement. The current study demonstrated that achieving a better disc height was associated with better improvements in postoperative LBP, which suggests that regardless of the type of fusion used, the surgery should aim to restore the disc height in order to reduce postoperative LBP.…”
