“…The main strength of this study was the repeated measurements of noise exposure and depressive symptoms in pregnant women, which enabled us to examine the trimester-speci c associations between APD and noise exposure and the dose-response associations between APD risk and the cumulative noise exposure duration across three trimesters. In addition, we were able to adjust for a series of confounders, such as prenatal stress and sleep quality, which is important because these two factors have been reported to be independently associated with APD [39][40] .…”
