Antenna subtraction at NNLO with hadronic initial states: double real initial-initial configurations

Abstract: Abstract:The antenna subtraction method handles real radiation contributions in higher order corrections to jet observables. The method is based on antenna functions, which encapsulate all unresolved radiation between a pair of hard radiator partons. To apply this method to compute hadron collider observables, initial-initial antenna functions with both radiators in the initial state are required in unintegrated and integrated forms. In view of extending the antenna subtraction method to next-to-next-to-leadin… Show more

“…[21,22], where the NNLO QCD corrections to Z + jet production were computed using the antenna subtraction formalism [36][37][38][39][40][41][42][43][44] to isolate the infrared singularities in the different Z-boson-plus-jet contributions. Our calculation is implemented in a newly developed parton-level Monte Carlo generator NNLOjet.…”

“…The NNLO QCD predictions for Z +jet production have been obtained with the parton-level event generator NNLOjet, which provides the necessary infrastructure to perform fully differential calculations at NNLO using the antenna subtraction formalism [53][54][55][56][57][58][59][60][61]. The computation of pp → W +jet through NNLO is based on the N -jettiness subtraction scheme for NNLO calculations [13].…”

“…In this calculation we employ the antenna subtraction method [55][56][57][58][59][60][61][62][63] to isolate the infrared singularities in the different contributions to enable their cancellation prior to the numerical implementation. The construction of the calculation and the subtraction terms is exactly as described in ref.…”
