Another Conserved Quantity by Mei Symmetry of Tzénoff Equation for Non-Holonomic Systems

Abstract: As a direct result of Mei symmetry of the Tzénoff equation for non-holonomic mechanical systems, another conserved quantity is studied. The expression and the determining equations of the above conserved quantity are also presented. Using this method, it is easier to find out conserved quantity than ever. In the last, an example is presented to illustrate applications of the new results.

Conformal invariance and conserved quantities for a higher-order Lagrange system by Lie point transformation of groups are studied. The differential equation of motion for the higher-order Lagrange system is introduced. The definition of conformal invariance for the system together with its determining equations and conformal factor are provided. The necessary and sufficient condition that the system's conformal invariance would be Lie symmetry by the infinitesimal one-parameter point transformation group is deduced. The conserved quantity of the system is derived using the structural equation satisfied by the gauge function. An example of a higher-order mechanical system is offered to illustrate the application of the result.

Operational systems of spacecraft are general variable mass mechanics systems, and their symmetries and conserved quantities imply profound physical rules of the space system. We study the Mei symmetry of Tzénoff equations for a variable mass nonholonomic system and the new conserved quantities derived. The function expression of the new conserved quantities and the criterion equation which deduces these conserved quantities are presented. This result has some theoretical values in further research of conservation laws obeyed by the variable mass system.

For a holonomic system with variable mass, the conformal invariance and the conserved quantity of Mei symmetry of Appell equations are investigated. First, by the infinitesimal one-parameter transformation group and the infinitesimal generator vector, the Mei symmetry and the conformal invariance of differential equations of motion for Appell equations in a holonomic system with variable mass are defined, and the determining equation of Mei symmetry and conformal invariance for Appell equations in a holonomic system with variable mass are given. Then, the Mei-conserved quantity corresponding to the system is derived by means of the structure equation to which the gauge function satisfies. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the application of the result.
