“…The forward cathodic scan did not exhibit a copper reduction wave; a similar situation was also observed in other studies of the deposition of copper on carbon electrodes and is attributed to the poor electrochemical reversibility of copper [12,19,22,23]. On the other hand, in the reverse anodic scan a sharp anodic peak at 0.1 V was observed.…”

“…The drawbacks of modified electrodes lie with the time-consuming modification process, the low precision and the instability of the sensors. In order to avoid the complexities of modification, different materials have been suggested and tested as mercury-free sensors for the voltammetric determination of copper including screenprinted carbon ink [16], gold [17,18], carbon microelectrodes [19], tungsten [20], PVC-graphite [21], carbon paste [22] and boron-doped diamond [23]. However all of these materials, depending on their nature and properties, have limitations as sensors for stripping analysis.…”

“…When Ag + is added, it binds specically to C-C mismatched base pairs, creating C-Ag + -C base pairs in the DNA double strand. 43,44 An appropriate incubation time aer the addition of Ag + is a key factor in the formation of C-Ag + -C complexes. The PEC response was measured in the range of 20 to 120 min incubation time with the addition of 10 nM Ag + and the results are shown in Fig.…”

“…The arylhydrazone is also an important complexing species. It has excellent donor properties coordinating such a large number of metals [ 120 , 121 ]. Its ability to behave as a polydentate ligand a modifier in carbon paste electrode has not been studied yet.…”
