Anmerkungen zur Herkunftsfrage des Gundestrupkessels

Abstract: In der kontroversen Herkunftsdiskussion des Silberkessels von Gundestrup wird ein neuerDeutungsansatz vorgeschlagen, indem zwischen kultureller und geographischer Herkunft einerseits sowie Ursprung der Auftraggeber und der Handwerker andererseits differenziert wird. Die Herkunft der Auftraggeber wird anhand technologischer und ikonographischer Indizien auf Gallien eingegrenzt.
