Abstract:In this talk we review the basic concepts related with the study of the dynamics of the heavy quarks in the quark-gluon plasma created in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions. We discuss the relevant physical scale as well the difficulties of the present theoretical approach to have a self-consistent description of the experimental data at both RHIC and LHC. In the second part we challenge the assumption of brownian motion for charm quarks and compare the dynamical evolution of charm and bottom quarks in a … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
