Abstract:Anion sensing via either optical or electrochemical readouts has separately received enormous attention, however a judicious combination of the advantages of both modalities remains unexplored. Toward this goal we herein disclose a series of novel redox‐active, fluorescent halogen bonding (XB) and hydrogen bonding (HB) BODIPY‐based anion sensors, wherein introduction of a ferrocene motif induces remarkable changes in fluorescence response. Extensive fluorescence anion titration, lifetime and electrochemical st… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
