“…In this context, coordination polymers of one-, two-, and three-dimensional infinite frameworks involving cadmium (II) ions have been the subject of interest in recent years owing to their potential applications as catalysts, photoluminescent and opto-electronic materials. Moreover, the d 10 configuration and softness of cadmium (II) ion permits a host of coordination numbers and geometries [15][16][17][18][19].A number of metal organic frameworks based on aminotriazole (AmTrz) ligand and its substituted analogs have been synthesized recently by different workers, including us [20][21][22][23][24][25]. It is thus challenging to continue the investigation in the area of triazole based metal-organic coordination polymers because of their interesting bridging and polymeric structural features.…”

“…The Ni II compound data ( Figure 3 b) reveals a χ m T value of 3.33 cm 3 ·mol −1 ·K at 300 K, which is consistent with the presence of three high spin Ni II ions with S = 1. χ m T remains constant down to 150 K, when it starts to decrease quickly down to 1.12 cm 3 ·mol −1 ·K at 2 K. The best fitting of these experimental data with the isotropic trimer model yielded g = 2.2 and J = −7.5 K, again in good agreement triazole-bridged Ni II centers (J from −13.8 to −6.7 K) [ 60 , 61 , 62 ].…”

“…Metal orotates have also caught growing acknowledgement in medicine. As a part of our continuing research on crystal engineering of metal-organic/orotate crystals comprising synthon induced molecular accumulation into higher dimensionality [29][30][31][32][33][34][35] in this manuscript we have reported 3D hydrogen bonded Zn-orotate network based upon potassium orotate, in which carboxylic group will be available to be coordinated to metal ion and imino and carbonyl oxygen will provides platform for non-covalent interactions (N-H···O and O-H···O synthons). Since the carbonyl group and carboxylate anion is a universal H-bond acceptor simultaneously as imino group is an H-bond donor, these peripheral groups are anticipated to interact with each other or with aqua ligand through hydrogen bonding, of pyrimidyl ring (Scheme 1).…”
