Angle measurement–based compensation methodology to mitigate voltage unbalance in a distribution system

Abstract: Summary The objective of this article is to compensate the deviations in magnitude and phase shift of load terminal voltage in an unbalanced low‐voltage distribution system. In specific, power balancing at the load terminal is accomplished through a compensator. A separate single‐phase full bridge voltage source converter (VSC) is employed in each phase to mitigate the system unbalance.
