Angiographic Embolization and Excision In Patient With Giant Retrorectal Schwannoma

Abstract

ÖZET Periferik sinir k›l›f› kaynakl› schwannomlar, genellikle bafl ve boyunda görülür. Mediastinal ve pelvik yerleflim nadirdir. Retrorektal yerleflimli schwannomlar ise bas›ya ba¤l› semptomlar geliflinceye kadar büyük boyutlara ulaflabilir. Bu yaz›da hipervasküler, büyük boyutlu ve ayn› zamanda, sa¤ adneksiyel kitleyi taklit eden bir retrorektal schwannomun arteryel embolizasyon sonras›nda ç›kar›lmas› sunulmaktad›r.Anahtar Kelimeler: Retrorektal kitle, Schwannoma, Anjiyografi, Embolizasyon ABSTRACT Schwannomas arise from the peripheral nerve sheath and frequently seen in the head and neck region. The mediastinum and pelvic settlement is rare. Retrorectal localized schvannomas may grow quite large before the patient becomes symptomatic due to compresses. In this report we presented excision of hypervasculer, giant retrorectal localized schwannoma mimicking right adnexal mass after arterial embolization.
