Angiogenesis and anti-angiogenic treatments in colorectal cancer

Abstract: Angiogenesis is extremely important in cancer progression. The therapeutic approaches that target regression of tumors through suppression of angiogenesis have been under investigation for a long time. In addition to chemotherapy, monotherapy as well as monoclonal antibodies and tyrosine kinase inhibitors increase the survival of patients with colorectal cancer.
