“…Chronic stress and anger are known to increase the risk of cardiovascular problems in later life. A randomised controlled trial by McIntyre et al (2019)17demonstrated a link between people in receipt of a CBT 12-week anger management intervention, and cardiovascular health, demonstrating a reduction in overall anger and stress compared with the control (wait list) group.
