We demonstrate how one can distinguish a curved 4-dimensional spacetime from a flat one, when it is possible, relying only on the causality relations between events. It is known that it is possible only for spacetimes that are not conformally flat. We prove that if a spacetime is not conformally flat, then its non-flatness can be verified by only a few (sixteen) measurements of causal relations. Therefore the results of this paper clarify what can be said about flatness or non-flatness of the spacetime after a finite number of measurements of causal relations.

In this paper, I discuss the idea that the birth of our Universe may be a result of a quantum transition from a physical continuum with the Euclidean signature to a Lorentzian spacetime. A similar idea was expressed by Andrei D. Sakharov. At the classical level, the idea was studied by George F. R. Ellis and his collaborators, who explored if solutions to the classical Einstein equation exist which admit a change of metric signature. The present paper aims at examining possible realizations of this idea at the level of quantum gravity, in the framework of the Wheeler -DeWitt theory and in the extended phase space approach to quantization of gravity. I intend to answer the questions: Does the Hartle -Hawking wave function imply such a realization? How can this idea be realized in the extended phase space approach to quantum gravity, where the change of signature is described by imposing special conditions on g 00component of the metric in different regions of the physical continuum? The conclusion is that the idea can be realized from a formal mathematical point of view, but it can hardly help in understanding how spacetime structure and time itself appeared from a timeless continuum.

Differential equations are a fundamental and versatile mathematical tool that finds widespread application across diverse academic disciplines, from physics and biology to economics and engineering. The primary objectives of this report are to demonstrate the application of differential equations in stellar evolution, construct a mathematical model to demonstrate nuclear reactions in a star, and illustrate energy transport within a star. Triangulation was used to prepare this report, with literature studies being the primary method. This study includes several documents and field data analyzed using qualitative research. Through research and observations, two hypothetical case studies illustrate the indispensable application of differential equations in modeling energy transport and nuclear reactions within stars through which the value of luminosity was calculated in a particular star due to both radiative energy transport and convective energy transport while in another star, the helium abundance in the core was estimated to approach a value of 1.195*1077. These differential equations are not only limited to the growth of a lead but also have broader applications that are essential for understanding the chemical composition of the universe and its prolonged evolution. The report also underscores the enduring importance of differential equations in advancing our understanding of the cosmos and their vital role in space exploration and technological innovations.
