The behavior of multiple spin dynamics under time-reversal excitation is investigated in strongly dipolar coupled spin networks. It is demonstrated that the typical physical intuition that NMR spectroscopists have of timereversal in such systems is erroneous. By studying the equation of motion of the spin system in an infinite onedimensional quantum spin chain with nearest-neighbor dipolar interactions and evolving under time-reversal excitation, a more appropriate physical picture emerges. Implications of these new findings are briefly discussed in the context of error propagation and teleportation in NMR quantum information processing.Résumé : On a étudié le comportement de la dynamique de spins multiples dans des conditions d'excitation à inversion de temps, dans des réseaux de spins couplés fortement dipolaires. On a démontré que l'intuition physique typique des spectroscopistes de la RMN, relative à l'inversion de temps dans de tels systèmes, est erronée. En étudiant l'équation de mouvement du système de spins, dans une chaîne de spins quantiques unidimensionnelle et infinie, comportant des interactions dipolaires avec le voisin le plus près et en évolution sous l'influence d'une excitation à inversion de temps, on observe une représentation physique plus appropriée.
