Summary.
The oxygen consuniption of 12 rats was determined after they had received a subcutaneous injection of histamine in bee's wax. The histamine deposit caused a decrease in the osygen consumption to an average ininiinurii at 76 % of the normal value when the rats were kept at a room temperature of 22o C. The minimum was reached approxiniately after 50 hours. This decrease does not appear when rats are kept at a temperature of 18o C.
