Abstract:The distant tubed pedicle skin flap concept was introduced almost 100 years ago. It was previously considered the workhorse flap to reconstruct the face and upper limbs. Despite being considered an ancient reconstruction method, it is still widely used by many reconstructive surgeons. It is considered a versatile flap with a good outcome.
