Spinal hematomas are a frequent indication for radiologic evaluation and can be a diagnostic dilemma for many radiologists and surgeons. There are four types of spinal hematomas: epidural, subdural, subarachnoid, and intramedullary (spinal cord) hematomas. Because they differ by their location in relationship to the meningeal membranes and spinal cord, unique radiologic appearances can be recognized to distinguish these types of spinal hemorrhage. Anatomic knowledge of the spinal compartments is essential to the radiologist for confident imaging diagnosis of spinal hematomas and to specify correct locations. MRI is the modality of choice to diagnose the location of the hematoma, characterize important features such as age of the hemorrhage, and detect associated injury or disease. Each type of spinal hematoma has imaging patterns and characteristics that distinguish it from the others, as these specific spinal compartments displace and affect the adjacent anatomic structures. Early detection and accurate localization of spinal hematomas is critical for the surgeon to address the proper treatment and surgical decompression, when necessary, as neurologic deficits may otherwise become permanent. Впервые представлена обоснованная классификация конструктивных составных элементов соединительнотканных структур эпидурального пространства (простые трабекулы, простые пластинки, сложные трабекулярные комплексы, сложные пластинчатые комплексы, комбинированные комплексы и связки). Описаны их морфологические признаки. Указанные структуры распределены по величине (длинные и узкие, короткие и широкие, промежуточные) и по локализации (пристеночные и центральные). Представлена количественная оценка центральных эпидуральных структур в различных отделах (шейном, грудном, поясничном и крестцовом) в пределах одного сегмента эпидурального пространства. изучены собственные связки твердой мозговой оболочки (передние, боковые, задние). различные по форме и локализации соединительнотканные структуры в совокупности составляют понятие стромы эпидурального пространства спинного мозга. Стромальные элементы по количественному составу существенно отличаются в различных отделах позвоночного канала. Ключевые слова: эпидуральное пространство, соединительнотканная строма, строение, твердая оболочка спинного мозгаOn 56 preparations of the spine of the fetuses and adults, which had no diseases associated with the pathology of the spinal column in the anamnesis, the structure, quantitative anatomy and topography of the connective tissue structures of the epidural space in its various parts were studied using histological and anatomical methods. For the first time, a reasonable classification of the structural components of the connective tissue structures of the epidural space (simple trabeculae, simple plates, complex trabecular complexes, complex lamellar complexes, combined complexes and ligaments) is presented. Their morphological features are described. These structures are distributed by size (long and narrow, short and wide, intermediate) and by location (parietal and central). A quantitative assessment of the central epidural structures in different parts (cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral) within the same segment of the epidural space is presented.
