“…The thalamic peak coordinates of the response inhibition paradigm seemed to overlap with our PFC_thalamus that further support our study. Our investigation complemented the findings of thalamus in heroin‐related cognitive literature by showing negative correlation between TMT‐A scores and thalamic RSFC with several regions, including ITG (involved in visual comprehensions), fusiform (involved in the processing of visual information) and precuneus (involved in environmental monitoring and awareness) (Cavanna & Trimble, 2006; Lin et al, 2020; Palejwala et al, 2020). We found the involvement in information processing of PFC_thalamus‐centered circuits, a potential neuroimaging biomarker of cognitive impairment in acute abstinent HU.…”

“…In line with this, another MVPA study by Brooks et al (2019) demonstrated that the single subjects' conceptual space predicts the neural pattern activation in the right FFA (Brooks et al 2019). We observed a strengthening in the neural similarity between emotional categories in these regions (Kim, Shinkareva, and Wedell 2017), probably because of the influence of the precuneus, which is involved in valence representation and structurally connected with the ITC (Lin et al 2020).…”

“…Previous work has referred to this tract using a multitude of names including, the SLF-V (Koutsarnakis et al, 2015;Wu et al, 2016b), SLF temporo-parietal connection with the inferior parietal lobule (Makris et al, 2005;Kamali et al, 2014aKamali et al, , 2014b, vertical arcuate fasciculus (Makris et al, 2005;, vertical SLF (Martino et al, 2013a;Martino and De Lucas, 2014), perisylvian SLF Martino et al, 2013b), posterior SLF (Martino et al, 2013b), indirect arcuate fasciculus (Turken and Dronkers, 2011), temporoparietal aslant tract , parieto temporal long association fibers (Oishi et al, 2008), anterior vertical occipital fasciculus (Choi et al, 2020), and "U-fiber" (Lin et al, 2020). Given all of the labels attached to the pArc, this bundle has clear nomenclature issues that may have stymied progress in its study.…”
