Anatomical and physiological background permitting spatial odor sensation in stylommatophoran molluscs

Abstract: Earlier experiments demonstrated that in order to place protracted tentacles and thereby olfactory receptors in an appropriate position for optimal perception of odor stimuli extraordinary complex movements are required.
